Tyler's Locker Drop-Off Day- May 28th!

The P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation will be hosting a second drop-off day for Tyler's Locker on Saturday, May 28th from 10am-2pm at Omega Sports on Battleground! Since the launch of Tyler's Locker in January of 2011 the program has been able to assist several groups in our community. The Florida Street Baptist Church received equipment to help with their Wednesday night program. Tyler's Locker was also able to help a local little league team get the equipment they needed to play this spring season.

"Your equipment will really help us step into a different level of engagement with the kids. Especially with the nice weather coming and more daylight time, I am hoping we can add some more sports (activities) to the Wednesday evening calendar," Gene, Florida Street Baptist Church.

Equipment can be dropped off anytime at Proehlific Park or any Omega Sports location in the Triad. The items are then housed at the Lindley Recreation Center where organizations and individuals can pick up items they need after filling out a request form.

The goal of Tyler's Locker is to provide every child that wants to play sports with the equipment necessary to do so. As Tyler's Locker grows we plan to offer scholarships for kids to participate in sports leagues through Greensboro Parks and Recreation Centers and Proehific Park. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to play!
