John Slack- President/ CEO Carolinas Credit Union Foundation
John is the President/CEO of the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation an organization that represents the cooperative philanthropic efforts of credit unions across the Carolinas. John believes deeply in the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”. He has earned an MBA from Wilmington College and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Wesley College. He lives in Greensboro with his wife Missy and their three kids, Ryan, Matthew and Lauren. John enjoys coaching travel baseball, reading and spending time with family and friends.   

Tom Somerville- President Triad Select Real Estate Group
Mr. Somerville has been a Realtor in the Greensboro area for over 35 years and is the Broker/Owner of TriadSelect Real Estate Group. He has been the president of the Greensboro Regional Realtors Association, president of the Crescent Rotary Club and past board member of his church.

 

  Ricky Proehl- 17 year NFL Veteran ; Owner/ CEO-Proehlific Park

Ricky Proehl is the founder and CEO of Proehlific Park Family Sports Complex & Fitness Center.  After 17 years as a wide receiver in the NFL and 2 Superbowl Championships, Ricky had a vision to build a safe and loving place where children could play and also compete athletically, study to become better students and grow in their spiritual life.  Proehlific Park is the result of his passion and vision.  Ricky was born in the Bronx, NY, and grew up in Hillsborough, NJ.  He graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Speech/ Communications. Ricky's hobbies include coaching football and baseball, family time, golf and watching his children play sports.  He and his wife, Kelly, have three children - Alex, Austin & Blake.


Alison Ellington - Health and Fitness Instructor

Alison Ellington is a native of Greensboro, NC, and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill  with a B.A. in Psychology.  Alison worked at Labcorp and Alamance Regional Medical Center for 15 years. She enjoys small group Bible studies and teaching group fitness classes.  Alison also currently serves on the board of the Central NC MS Society along with volunteer work for the American Heart Association. She and her husband, Bobby, enjoy the lake, boating, tennis and praying for others.

 

   

Lenwood Edwards- Retired School Administrator
Lenwood (Len) E. Edwards, Sr, served as a coach and principal in the Guilford County schools for a number of years.  He also served as the athletic director of Greensboro Day School.  In addition to his long tenure as a school administrator, Len has mentored and been a life coach to scores of youth in Guilford County and in the state of North Carolina.  He and his wife, Valeria, have been married for 25 years and reside in Greensboro, NC.  They have four beautiful children:  Lee, Lewis, Ronda and Rosalyn.

Kelly Proehl- Franchise Owner / Juice Plus+ Whole Food Nutrition
Kelly Proehl is the proud mother of three children, Alex, Austin & Blake, and a franchise owner with Juice Plus+ Whole Food Nutrition.  She has enjoyed 15 years of volunteering and advocating for foster children. Kelly started the Ricky Proehl Football Camp in Greensboro, NC, which has served over 150 kids  on financial scholarships. Kelly is passionate about people's health, helping others build their own businesses, and providing resources and life-changing experiences for underprivileged children.  She and her husband, Ricky, married in 1992.  Kelly has a degree from Wake Forest University in Psychology and Sociology. She enjoys being a mom, bible studies, exercising, wellness, and time at the beach.
