Fit Miss is a program designed just for girls! This program is a chance for all girls, ages 7-13 to have a chance to join together each week and help each other learn and grow into strong young women. Fit Miss promotes the idea of developing the whole child, both physically, socially and emotionally through a multi-faceted wellness program. Each week will focus on one exercise style, one nutrition topic and one component of character development. At the end of each class the girls will have a chance to reflect and write their thoughts in their journal; documenting important topics, how they relate to them, and how it makes them feel. The result is educating a young group of girls on how to be physically fit and emotionally secure.
We believe that this an opportunity to bring girls together of all backgrounds and walks of life to band together and learn about themselves and others. Today’s girl is constantly bombarded with what the media portrays as the perfect woman. We want to build girls that are secure in being themselves, regardless of what they see on television and in the magazine.
We can’t wait to start offering this program for the girls of our community. We will be posting updates on the progress and proposed start times as soon as we have them!
